October 14, 2010

Old Town Family Hospitality Corp. has promoted Jose Pulido as the new executive chef of Fiesta de Reyes and its two restaurants: Barra Barra Saloon and Casa de Reyes.

“Jose has been with us since we opened almost 18 months ago and has accomplished a great deal in the past few months,” said Chuck Ross, president of Old Town Family Hospitality Corp.  “He has helped us to increase production, lower ticket times and always does a great job with banquets and events. We appreciate all of his hard work and dedication to Fiesta de Reyes.”

Pulido previously worked for the San Diego Padres at Petco Park where he spent three seasons as a sous chef, running the on-site restaurants — PCL Club, Baja Bistro Club and Club 19.  He also worked for Ross at his Chula Vista restaurant, South Bay Fish and Grill.

When not working at Fiesta de Reyes, the 29-year-old Chef Jose Pulido enjoys spending time with his family, girlfriend and his boxer dog.

Fiesta de Reyes is located at Juan and Calhoun streets, a one-block stroll from the Old Town Trolley Station. In addition to the Casa de Reyes restaurant and Barra Barra Saloon, Fiesta de Reyes boasts 16 specialty stores, open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m..  For more information call (619) 297-3100 or visit www.FiestaDeReyes.com
